Why do I need to stay in the clinic for 15 min after getting a shot?

Vaccines and the vaccination process are very safe. Most side effects, such as pain or fever, if any, are mild and typically resolve on their own.

However, there is a rare but serious reaction to vaccines called anaphylaxis. This occurs when the body has a severe allergic reaction to the vaccine. Symptoms may include rash, fainting, and difficulty breathing, which require immediate medical attention. With prompt and appropriate treatment, patients generally recover fully.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to predict who might experience this reaction. If it does occur, it usually happens within 5-10 minutes after receiving the vaccine. For this reason, it is important to stay in our hospital for at least 15 minutes after your vaccination. This allows us to monitor you and provide immediate treatment if any reaction occurs.

Will I get a vaccination record after getting a shot?

Yes, we will issue a new vaccination record for you. If you have your own record, we will update it for you.
